I love being a mom to boys much more than I thought I would. BUT I know they wont be my little boys forever. One day they will go off and belong to someone else. Before that happens there are a few things I want to teach them.
1. The kitchen? Not just for girls. Learn to use a stove.
2. manners matter. please, thank you, sir and mam will get you far
3. hygiene is important. Shower daily, keep your nails trim and use deodorant.
4. If a girl was worth the time to date she is worth the time to break up with. The computer and phone are not how you do it.
5. Listen... responses of "nothing" or "no" when you ask a girl what is wrong/is something wrong really mean something is wrong
6. Understand the job of a stay-at-home mom is equally as hard as yours.
7. Table manners. Use them.
8. The right thing isnt always the easy thing.
9. NEVER use your fists to solve ANY dispute. One wrong punch could take a life and it could be yours.
10. Birth control is as much your responsibility as it is hers. use condoms
11. Sexting is a federal offense.
12. Be kind. Open a door and help a stranger.
13. Smile, someone might just need to see it.
14. Think before you act.
15. You can always come home again

Aiden Rolled
Aiden has been trying so hard to get from his back to his belly. Today I spent a long time recording him in 2 min chunks just hoping to get it on film and I did. I got the first time on video.

Baby food
Aiden is a eater that the boys never were. He is so aware of food and eating. We have started to play with it a little. He LOVES oatmeal. He is MAD when it is gone and I feed him milk first. He is also the cleanest eater I have ever seen. He hardly wastes a drop. He sees the spoon and starts shaking and making noise. It is so cute.
I am kinda hoping this will help him sleep a little longer but so far no luck.

Big Brothers
Aiden is 7 weeks old now. He is lovely and cute. He has brought some big changes with him and some of the biggest have been with Owen and Ethan.
Owen... Owen is a great help to me really he is. He loves to help so much that he is often in the way and I have to point out that I am Aiden's mommy and the boss. He has also taken to waking up in the middle of the night SCREAMING for me. This is especially fun when it happens about 30 min after I have gotten back in bed after putting Aiden back down. My reaction to this has been to wake him before I get in bed. I know what you are thinking "you never wake a sleeping child" but really it isnt that bad. I wake him up just enough to tell him it is potty time. He takes my hand and walks to the bathroom. When he is done he gets back in bed, tells me he loves me, asks for water and is back asleep. For the most part this has stopped the might wakings screaming for me. This has also had the side effect of Owen waking dry in the morning 9 times out of 10. Soon I will try breaking the night wakings and hoping he stays asleep.
Ethan... Oh my Ethan. He just wants more attention. He is acting out in a bad way. He is biting and not listening. He thinks it is funny to throw things. He doesnt understand why he cant be on my lap while Aiden is feeding. On a REALLY bad day is is wetting his pants on purpose. God help us both. He is also really cute in his wanting to help. He wants to help me make "mommy milk". When I am pumping he wants to rub on me, touch me and a few times he has tried helping me squeeze milk out.
The boys are Awesome big brothers. I am so lucky!
