BEST WEEKEND EVER
This weekend really was fabulous and all that it implies. It really was one of those weekends where things just went right. Not to mention that it was Mothers Day and our 6th wedding anniversary.
Friday- My lovely sister hosted a BBQ/playdate in the park so we went. Erick let me relax and he played with the boys. Laura's nephew chases Ethan when he ran. It was a nice day at the park with yummy food.
Saturday- Erick let me sleep in because we had early plans for Sunday. I slept in til 830. When I got up I ate and then went back to bed for a nap. The sleep was much needed as I am up more than a few times at night now to get comfy or to use the bathroom. Once I got up we all got ready and headed to the zoo. You see 3 weeks ago the boys and I went to the zoo (in Sac a 30 min drive) and we got a year pass. We figured that we only have to use it 3 times and it is paid for. So in 3 weeks I have already gone twice. The boys love it.
This time we went without a stroller. Because Ethan runs he had to hold a hand or get a ride on us. Owen started using his new favorite phrase "I do it my self!" So most the time we heard "I walk by myself!" when we asked him to hold our hands. I was fine with him walking with us as long as he stayed with us. Erick was a little more jumpy but Owen proved he could do it. It was a beautiful there was a light breeze, the zoo had a special event going on so there were booths and performances, it wasnt that busy. Beautiful! We road the carousel and fed the giraffes. Really Amazing. More than once Sac Mag took our pictures. We will have to see if we get in the June issue.
Sunday- We got up as a family when the boys woke. Erick got the boys dressed while I got showered and dressed. Then we swapped. We met my mom at Marie Callendars for brunch and totally gorged. So yummy. The boys got me 2 movies, chocolates, and a card they signed themselves. (side story I knew about the card and chocolates because Owen told me when they came back from shopping a few days ago "Mommy we got books and chocolate candy for you mommy!"). When we came home Erick sent me to the room to watch my movies while he played outside with the boys. When they went down for a nap he came in and we snuggled. Then he went and got us lunch for our Anniversary. When the boys woke we played as a family and Erick cooked the boys dinner. After they were down for the night he went and got us dinner. We opted not to do Anniversary gifts this year due to other events we already attended.
Overall it was a fantastic weekend.

Hoppy Easter
The Easter bunny
All of the kids just loved the bunny. With the boys we had a long wait with Chloe none at all. We are so lucky that the local bunny is awesome.
Egg Decorating
You want to have lots of fun.... Try dying eggs with 3 kids under 3. The loved throwing the eggs into the dye to make a big mess. After of all the splashing the bottom of my right foot was pink. BUT we did have some very beautiful eggs. The kids had so much fun and we will be sure to do it again next year.
Easter day
As soon as the boys woke up Erick took them to the bathroom. While he was getting them out of diapers I set up. I got into position and filmed.
They loved their baskets. It was awesome to see their faces and the magnets are a hit.
Later in the day the family came over for lunch and an egg hunt for the kids. We do money in the eggs because god knows the kids dont need more candy and it builds their savings.
AND for your viewing pleasure.....My first belly picture this pregnancy...23 weeks

After Christmas
After Christmas was planning to be just as busy for us as before Christmas. We were planning to head home from MIL's house on the 26th and be home/pack. The 27th (the boys birthday) at 430am I was to get up, pick my mom up, drive an hour to the train to pick up family, drive home, spend the day with the family, put the boys to bed for the night, drive back to where I picked the family up, get on a plane and fly to NYC at midnight. Busy right? Well the first part of that plan went off without a hitch. The problem came when a HUGE snow storm decided to hit the east coast shutting down the airports. Erick spent all day off and on the phone with Jet Blue trying to rebook our flights. Finally we had to admit defeat and stay home.
Today is New Years Eve. We should have been in a hotel just Erick and I but instead we are at home with the boys (alone) while the family that came to watch the boys while we were on our trip is off visiting other family. We now have these lovely vouchers for Jet Blue. Hummm where to go where to go. They have to be used this year.

Merry Christmas!
The boys had a great Christmas! They were spoiled rotten. We started off Christmas with my sister, niece and brother-in-law coming over Christmas eve. The kids opened their PJs and we read all of our Christmas books before bed.
Christmas morning I got up early and while everyone was still sleeping I put breakfast in the oven. We have coffee, coco and cinnamon rolls. My mom joined us. When all the kids were up presents were passed out and opened. We ate our yummy rolls and then went to our in-laws.
Once at Erick's moms the boys got more gifts. Then off to G. Grandma's house for more gifts. This gift opening went on for 2 days.
