More you missed
Cycle #2 on Clomid was interesting. 100mg is a lot harder on the body than the 50mg. I did everything I was told to and on cycle day 21 I got my blood work. My progesterone was 18.6 indicating that I ovulated and strongly (if you remember the cycle I got pregnant with the boys my progesterone was 13.1). So on cycle day 26 I had a quant. HcG it came back less than 5 (cycle a bust).
Well 5 days later there were still no signs that the cycle was ending. I took the last test I had in the house. BUT at that exact moment the boys decided to wake up and make something crash so I put the test down and ran out of the bathroom. I had to feed, change and do the other morning duties so I didnt get to read the test. 30 min later I finally get back into the bathroom to read the test. I see 2 lines. Well crap! 2 lines and they dont count because it was after the time limit on the test. I call a friend and she rushes over to bring me another test. As it happens when she went to the store digitals were cheaper so she got them. I take the test and there is no not. I leave to go get a blood draw. 4 hours later I get the call. My beta came back at 149. IM PREGNANT. Two days later I go in again, get the results. My double time is 39.34 hrs my new beta is 341. So far so good.

IUD out
OMG it is so much easier to get an IUD out than it was to get it in. I just wish they didnt make you sit in the paper clothes by yourself in the tiny room for so long. I personally would rather sit in the waiting room for a little longer rather then sit in the tiny little room by myself, no TV, wearing nothing but a paper vest and a paper lap blanket.
Can I just say I love my OBGYN. He is wonderful. Today he talked to me and calmed all my fears. Then when it came time to remove the IUD he continued to talk and relax me. He asked if I was sure I wanted it out. I told him I was. He responded good because it is out already. It was that easy. He wants me to start metformin to aid in the whole getting pregnant thing. We will see how that goes.

tomorrow
Erick and I made the choice to move forward with our family. I havent had many/any people to really talk with this about so I am putting it here and now posting it til later.
Tomorrow I get my IUD out. I have wanted it out for a long time. I have been trying to get it out sense May. I am both excited and scared for this. I am so ready for another baby. I think the boys would be great big brothers. But change is never easy. When change is full of waiting it is even harder.
I dont look forward to the trying part. It takes an emotional toll on the body and mind. I dont look forward to the questions we will surely get when everyone finds out that (one) we were trying and (hopefully two) we are pregnant. People are stupid and cant control their mouths. They tend to say hurtful things before they even know they have said them. We are all the same I have done it too.
Erick is really excited to start this process again. I think in some ways he is more ready than I am. The problem is he doesnt get the looks and the comments.
Ahhhh life is full of challenges.

My story to date
Erick and I met by a stroke of luck in the rec. lounge of my residence hall. A few months later Erick attempted to ask me to marry him. Yes you read that right I said a few months. I laughed at him. Not the best response. The topic comes up more and more after that. One night I got up the nerve and told him that if he didn't ask me I was going to ask him. On May 8th 2003 just seven months after meeting wrapped in an embrace in the middle of my dorm room Erick asked me to be his and I said yes. As you can imagine our families thought we were nuts. Two years after he proposed we were married (Mothers Day 2008). Our wedding was beautiful. It rained but just as we said I do it stopped. Perfect! I could not have asked for anything better.
May 2006- off birth control and trying for a baby
Aug. 2006- Started charting
April 2007- Go to see doctor. I was told not to worry because I was young and after all she just had a baby last year at 35 with no problems. I asked for a referral (I was using the University health care). I was told they couldn't do that.
Aug. 2007- 70 day cycle. When to doctor was put on Provera. New nurse practitioner instantly started helping me. Found out the health center had said and documented that they referred me and that I declined services.
Dec. 2007- Got my referral to the outside office that the NP that helped me works at.
Jan. 2008- First outside appointment with NP. Discovered the doctor at the school signed off on my blood work saying that everything was normal when in fact my thyroid was off. Started weight loss with diet, exercise and Adipax (along with BCPs).
Feb. 2008- Redo Thyroid and everything is okay there. Dropped 22 pounds so far.
Today I had an ultrasound. I had to go twice. The first time I followed what I was told and my bladder didn't fill. I follow the new instructions I was given and I spend an hour dancing because I had to pee so bad. She took a ton of images and I didn't get told anything other than I should ask to be checked for PCOS and that my right ovary didn't want its picture taken and was hiding in my bowels.
So now I wait. I have an appointment with the NP on Friday to find out if we can get off this nine week break and Adipax and start trying again. At the appointment I will get the results of the U/S and find out what our next step is. I know we have to repeat all the blood work that was done at the University and there has been talk of clomid. I have so many questions for Friday. I will keep you posted on here.
