1/4th the way done

With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will too.)

I feel like I look PG already but I am still symptom free which worries me. My next appointment is still a weeks away. Erick is starting to get more excited and he said I have to watch out because once we hear the heart next week he will be all over my growing belly. He still doesnt think its real and is trying to distance himself just a little. We are starting to research products and make wish lists which is fun. OK righht now it is a bunch of online looking. Later today we are going to get baby bargins so we have more reading to do.

9 weeks

My little embryo has now officially graduated to fetus-hood. Adding to the excitement, a Doppler ultrasound device might be able to pick up the beating heart. With basic physical structures in place and increasingly distinct facial features, baby is kind of starting to look like... well... a baby! Exciting isnt it. Though I still am symptom free. I get to see the baby again in 2 weeks.

Not loving it

We have had our girl name picked out for almost 2 years now but boys names are a different story. I am not loving trying to pick out a boys name. Yes I know i have plenty of time but it is really bugging me. I want a name so that I can connect better to the baby. every name I like Erick doesn't and every name he likes I don't. Now we are each compiling a list so we can see if there are any in common. I have had my list ready for about 4 hours and Erick keeps reading sports and is only on Ls. This is going to be a long process and a long night.

Update: We now have a list that we are working off of. Nothing is at a love it stage but we are trying.

New week new things

I have reached the 8 week mark and some new things decided to pop up this morning.

The baby is growing like mad, putting on about a millimeter every day and continuing to straighten out in the trunk. Though I can't feel it yet, baby is moving those little arms, legs and (now only slightly) webbed fingers and toes like crazy.

So last night after swimming i noticed that walking back to the apartment hurt. Where did it hurt you ask. Why it hurt my left breast. Why just the left? i dont know but it HURTS. Last night sleeping was interesting because ever time I rolled onto the left breast I was woken up by the pain. The other new thing is a constant pinching feeling on the left.

After everyone left the mothers birthday celebration Erick and i did a little window shopping and boy is he sorry. We were up at the shopping center that has babies r us (BRU) and Target. First we went into BRU and I fell in love with an expensive chair. i love this chair and I could have sat there all day. It was a comfy greenish micro-fiber suede it rocked and turned and fit my butt. However the chair is $400 which is out of our budget. I shower Erick some stuff I love and he shower me some stuff that he thought was cool. It was a good time had by all i think LOL yeah right Erick is so not a shopper.

Uneventful

Today I am 7 weeks. As of today nothing has really happened. I know it is early and all but I really dont even feel pregnant. Nope not sick. Nope no headaches, cramps, or weird cravings. Nothing just little boring me. The only thing that is really happening is when I sit then stand I am getting a little pulling pinching muscle thing on my right side. Not really a big deal it goes away in a second. The other thing is I am hungry but I don't know what I want to eat 'til someone tells me what I want. That someone can be a person or the TV it doesn't matter as long as they tell me want I want to eat. Erick has been great though, I really am lucky to have him. 4 weeks 'til my next appointment.

There is a baby

So I got to go to the Dr today and was very excited Erick got to go with me and we got an ultrasound. The Dr was able to see one perfect bean and said there is a small chance that there is another one because there is an area they couldn't see and it is early. But we have one beautiful bean right where it is meant to be. I get to o back in 5 weeks and have another one.

I feel great and really have no complaints as of yet other than I want to do nothing but eat and sleep all day. I gained 1 pound in the last month which isnt bad.
