Things I could do without

I forgot to post The boys are now 10 months old. woo hooo. Things are getting really fun now. They respond to you and play really well but there are a few things I could do without.

* eating the paint off the cribs
* biting
* temper tantrums (I am talking full on through down on the floor kicking and screaming)
* climbing on everything
* arguing
*crying when I leave the room

Oh and my all time favorite

*looking at me when I tell them no and asking for dada

But like I said they are doing some really cute good things too.
* walking with toys
* baby kisses
* waving and saying by by
* the giggles at funny faces or being tickled
* making faces
* tub time
* feeding themselves
* playing in the mirror
* being held upside down
* clapping and saying yeah
* new words

As you can see the good list FAR outweighs the bad but ohhhh the tantrums. :(

Fall

All over my online community I was seeing these cute pictures of babies with pumpkins and fall pictures. I thought man I need pictures of the boys with pumpkins. So we went to the local farm here and put the boys in the pumpkins like we did Chloe last year. This is what I got....

And how can we forget this one....

So we move to the grass thinking maybe little pumpkins are better and we can get some good ones with the little pumpkins... We got these...

Then they figured out that they could pick and eat the grass or crawl away.

So in my mind I gave up on cute fall pictures. I mean you can see what I was dealing with. Erick and I decided that we were going to take a family trip up to Apple Hill. I hadnt been sense I was a kid and Erick had never been. Well we missed our chance to go with friends but when we did go we found a really good farm (#20) and got some GREAT shots. (oh and the boys love apple donuts)

I am so happy with these pictures and that fall is officially here!

YES!!!!!!

I am so frickin' excited. Why you ask? Well step 2 is bringing back the choo choo wagon.

Wohoo, the Choo Choo Wagon is back!
****Update, October 2009****
Thank you for your interest in the Choo Choo Wagon and Trailer. We made our last production run on the Choo Choo Wagon and Trailer in 2008, and our inventory was depleted in early 2009. The tooling for these products is over ten years old. The molds are outdated and must be rebuilt. We are working on this, but it will take quite some time before we are able to begin production with new tooling.

We realize that the Choo Choo Wagon is particularly popular among parents of multiples, and we are eager to continue offering a wagon specifically designed with their needs in mind. We will be happy to notify you when this product becomes available again in the future. Please let us know if you would like to be on the waiting list.

What is a choo choo wagon?

This is a choo choo wagon

I MUST get one as soon as they come out!

Still fighting

It has been 6 weeks sense Owen got fitted for his helmet. It was another 5 weeks or so before that that we were told he needed it. I call every week to check the status. His insurance denied him because of his age. Well if you had approved the referral in the first place age wouldnt be an issue. So they referred him to another program to pay for it. They are dragging their feet hoping we cancel the helmet. So once again I call to status check. This time I ask for the number to CCS and how much to just pay for the helmet. $2500 to get him the helmet. Then she says "just so you know I have seen it before, families get the money to get the helmet and CCS and insurance deem it unneeded and the family NEVER gets reimbursed". Great so let me just bend over and pull $2500 out my butt to get the helmet I requested at 4 months. That insurance would have approved then but they and the Dr suck and now it is 5.5 months later and we are still waiting and Owen's head isnt getting any better. (WOW run on sentence) This sucks!

Im baaaaaccckkkk

We survived the move if just barely. Moving is hard. Moving with kids is harder. moving with kids when you have a fever of 103 and cant eat or drink because of the pain is the worst. For a few days before the move I had been telling Erick that I wasnt feeling well. I was functional, couldnt place what I was feeling, really thought that the stress of the move was getting to me. That theory went out the window when on the day of the move I couldnt swallow. It was hard to breathe. I had the chills. When I finally sat to take my temp it was 103. My fever didnt go under 100 for 2 days so I went to the Dr. I had tonsillitis. Yeah really not fun at all.

To add to the fun Erick and I have been together 7 years (yes we still celebrate that anniversary it is Oct 5th) and I couldnt even kiss him. I really was not even functional. I told Erick I was going to lay down for a quick nap and slept 3 hrs. Then went back to bed for the night 2 hrs later. I can still feel my body fighting the infection but at least I am not contagious anymore. Though I am taking more naps then I have sense the boys were newborns.

While all this was going on the boys had an appointment for their 9 month check.
Owen
18lb 10 oz 18%ile
27 in 10%ile
46 cm 69%ile

Ethan
20 lb 7 oz 47%ile
27 in 10%ile
45.5 cm 54%ile

So both boys have dropped on the chart for weight but they are a lot more active now. They are fast little buggers and are learning how to climb (thanks mom) and pass between objects. They love each other and are the best of friends. They look for each other and do this kissy thing that I have yet to catch with the camera.

So overall we are in a good place right now not only as a family and mentally but a good living space. As soon as I find the box with the camera cord I have all kinds of pics to post.
