I want to talk about me

This is your fair warning that this blog is about me. If you dont want to read about me then stop reading. As I have not written the rest of the blog I can not promise that this post does not contain TMI. Read on at your own risk.

I feel like I have lost myself sense the boys came. I am not exactly happy with my body. I am oh about 18lbs heavier then when I got pregnant but I look like I am what I was at my heaviest. I still look slightly pregnant (I am asked often when I am due). I have this lovely twin skin that hangs over my belly button because of the way I carried the boys. I cant do my hair because they pull it. I'm not sleeping because I am listening for them. The only time I truly get to sleep is when Erick lets me sleep in on Saturday morning. I also feel a little exiled. The vast majority of my friends are on the internet. I still have "friends" that haven't met the boys. On top of that people find it easier to flake when you have kids and they don't.

I feel like I lost myself a little.

A busy week

This week is going to be busy but I will try to keep you all updated. This week Owen gets fitted for his helmet, I have a class I need to attend, Ethan has OT, I have a pampered chef party, and we are leaving to Salinas next weekend. All this plus the added fun of teething is going to make for an interesting week. Both the boys have runny noses and are sleeping like crud. Oh did I mention that we are going to play with the boys food and Owen has a diaper rash as well. Yeah I see a fun week.

8 months

I dont know where the time has gone. I look at the boys and I no longer see the tiny little babies I brought home. With every passing day they are less and less like those little babies and more and more like little boys. Every day brings now things.

This is the boys trying watermelon for the first time

I am having to let go of some of my control and give it to the boys. They have their own minds and desires.

Owen has a tooth coming in

You can see it just to the right of center. It looks like light but its a tooth.

Ethan is super baby so while at a friend's house we had fun dressing him as superman.

While at another friend's house the boys got to try cake for the first time. I have let them have bites of just the cake before but this had frosting too. They were more interested in playing with it than eating it lol (*** I did not let them make this mess the friend gave them it and let them go at it.)

Monthly pictures are getting harder to take but the candid shots are getting more fun!

Im in trouble now

I feel like the last few blogs have been about Owen and kinda leaving Ethan out. Well not this one. This one is about Me and Ethan. I am in trouble. Why am I in trouble you ask? Well I am in trouble because... ETHAN IS CRAWLING! He finally decided that he is sick of Owen taking all the good toys and running off. AND he is actually hand and knee crawling not army style. I will try and catch it on video soon. EEEK I have two mobile babies.

GO GO GO

OWEN CRUISED! He totally used the footstool to get to the couch walked a whole seat to get my cell. He has been pulling up to stand for about 5 days but this is the first he has walked along something. It was about 4 steps. OMG! Then he let go, started to fall, caught himself, and took another step along the couch.

Ethan is so close to crawling. He is doing the tummy wiggle/roll and can get from A to B it just takes him awhile. His teacher is hoping the tummy wiggle roll thing doesnt last because he needs to learn to crawl rather then superman. He is getting on his knees and doing the rocking thing then he belly flops and supermans. lol it is funny.

Where have my babies gone? These are not the fragile things I brought home from the hospital. These are not the little ones I rocked and held. It is like I blinked and my babies are not babies anymore. It is almost unfair to a mother. I kinda feel guilty at the same time. The whole time they are little you are wishing for something else. For them to sleep through the night, hold their own bottle, play, be away more. I wish I had taken more time to just sit and snuggle the little balls of baby.

Insert catchy title here

The boys have been keeping me busy so I feel bad that I havent bloged in about 2 weeks.

I have to be careful leaving the room now because I come back to find this...

(what Im not doing anything?)

we finally got a second bath seat so the boys can bathe together...

Cousin Linda came to meet the boys...

The boys are doing better with finger foods and sippys...

The boys personalities are getting stronger... I got this face when I told Owen I was done sharing my dinner with him.

The boys had a blast at A&A's second birthday. They even got to ride a horse.

Chloe came over a played in the tub with the boys. The boys just wanted to pull Chloe's hair and take the ducks so they could eat them.

Grandma Lety bought the boys a new superyard. It is a blessing to be able to have a safe place to but the boys so I can run to the bathroom and they think it is a blast.

Owen has a new trick too. He is pulling up and climbing on things.

Yesterday

Yesterday Owen had his helmet eval to see if he needed one. Long story short he does. So now we start the process of getting it preauthorized and approved so insurance will cover it. The Dr said it will round out on its own some but that he will never be perfect. We could skip the helmet but we would have to keep all pressure off that side of his head and start sleeping him on his tummy and keeping him out of the car seat. So now we are waiting again.

just a little bragging

Last week Owen started saying mama. This week Ethan decided to be fair he would start saying dada. In addition to that they mimic yeah and hi. Sometimes I even think Ethan is using hi as a greeting. Owen is starting to pull up to his knees to try and stand so we get the fun task of lowering the cribs. Owen is also getting super fast at crawling on his hands and knees rather then the worm he was doing.
