Big Brothers
Aiden is 7 weeks old now. He is lovely and cute. He has brought some big changes with him and some of the biggest have been with Owen and Ethan.
Owen... Owen is a great help to me really he is. He loves to help so much that he is often in the way and I have to point out that I am Aiden's mommy and the boss. He has also taken to waking up in the middle of the night SCREAMING for me. This is especially fun when it happens about 30 min after I have gotten back in bed after putting Aiden back down. My reaction to this has been to wake him before I get in bed. I know what you are thinking "you never wake a sleeping child" but really it isnt that bad. I wake him up just enough to tell him it is potty time. He takes my hand and walks to the bathroom. When he is done he gets back in bed, tells me he loves me, asks for water and is back asleep. For the most part this has stopped the might wakings screaming for me. This has also had the side effect of Owen waking dry in the morning 9 times out of 10. Soon I will try breaking the night wakings and hoping he stays asleep.
Ethan... Oh my Ethan. He just wants more attention. He is acting out in a bad way. He is biting and not listening. He thinks it is funny to throw things. He doesnt understand why he cant be on my lap while Aiden is feeding. On a REALLY bad day is is wetting his pants on purpose. God help us both. He is also really cute in his wanting to help. He wants to help me make "mommy milk". When I am pumping he wants to rub on me, touch me and a few times he has tried helping me squeeze milk out.
The boys are Awesome big brothers. I am so lucky!

Paccy and potties
I know, know I, I always have an excuse as to why I havent blogged lately. BUT truth be told a few big things have been happening in our house the last 2 weeks. They involve two very important things. Paccys and potties. I know sounds so exciting but really it took some work.
Paccys- Many of you know I have attempted to kick the paccy habit a few times and FAILED with a bog fat F. I knew the boys were ready but very strongly attached. I kept making excuses as to why I needed to put it off. First I got pregnant and was so tired I was napping when they napped, then I was to busy, after that came the potty (more on that later) and I didnt want to many changes at once. Lastly we got sick (10 days of coughing no fun). We were already down to only getting them in bed. I spend a lot of time in Target (we are there at least once a week). Well the boys BEGGED for pillow pets every time they saw them. So we started talking about the paccy fairy. We told the boys all about how one day she would come and leave a gift for them and take the paccy away forever. That she only comes to big boys and girls. When they started telling me this I moved on to asking them what they wanted and pointing out the pillow pets in Target telling them that one day soon the fairy would bring them one if that is what they wanted. The whole process took about two weeks. We knew it was time when we would put the boys down and they would take their paccy and tell us about the fairy.
This last weekend we were at Erick's mom's and we told her about our plan. We were at Target to get toothpaste and showed her the pets. She decided to get them and let the boys pick the ones they wanted. When we got back to her house I went and tossed the paccys.
Owen and Wim the turtle
Ethan and T-bone the dog
We had the boys name their own pets and whenever they asked about the paccy we asked them right back. The boys always responded with "the fairy came and took paccy forever". We had about 5 min of crying/asking for the paccy the first nap and about two days of asking without crying. They are doing AWESOME without it.
Potties- We have been working on using the potty for some time now. Not forcing but letting the boys know it is there and putting them on it when they want. We were only making them use it before bath. In the last two weeks we have stepped up our game and the boys are rising to the occasion. I am extremely proud of Ethan. Im sure Erick will agree that when we started this we thought that Ethan would train last. He proved us wrong. He has decided he no longer wants the rewards. If I have him in a diaper and tell him to use it he has and will cry. He hasnt pooped in underwear in a few weeks and we are able to take him out in underwear without accidents. He even made it the 2 hr drive to and from Erick's mom's house dry. Owen is totally in it for the jelly beans. And he knows how to work the system. If we are home they are in undies for the most part. We keep the undies in the bathroom under the sink. Accidents arnt a big deal and the boys pick their own undies out. So far so good.
My boys are growing up at a rapid pace. Yes I know that doing this now could mean doing it again after the new baby comes but I am glad we are laying down the foundation now. It isnt hurting the boys and they are loving the attn and praise.
I will try my best to keep you updated. PS No new news on the pregnancy. We still dont know the gender and are looking forward to finding out at the party. Lots of movement and kicking going on.

back seat bloging
Did you miss me? I know I am a bad blogger. Life tends to get in the way of keeping others involved or informed of life.
Life: I am on a total spring cleaning kick. So far I have finished the boys room, the 2 front most closets, both bathroom, and one of our bedroom closets. Not to mention when I sent the boys and Erick away for the weekend so I could shampoo the carpets, organize the toys and rearrange the living room. Erick has been busy with work as usual.
The boys: Potty training has entered the house. Ethan is really good and Owen likes candy. This fills my days most days. Trips to the bathroom, washing hands, next kid and repeat. It never fails that if one had to go they both do. Heaven forbid I have to go. Owen will argue with you that it is his turn to go. They are so smart and so different. Ethan loves to sing and read. Owen is a mans man and is rough but is also a wimp and cant take what he dishes.
The pregnancy: I have to admit that being pregnant with one is a lot different than with 2. And I also think the first 1/2 of pregnancy is boring. People always ask how you are and whats going on but really nothing is going on and no one wants to hear about gas. Now things are starting to get interesting. This week we can feel the baby from the outside. Erick has felt it a few times. This baby for sure likes the attention more than the boys did.
I have an appointment Friday and that is when we will get the date for my next u/s. Many of you know but for those that dont know....Erick and I have decided to not only find out the gender this time but to let you all in on it. May 21st we are going to have a party to announce. I cant wait to have some fun and food with friends.

Weekend Review
This weekend was hard for me for a few reasons. I had really been looking forward to it but as it came closer I got more and more nervous about it. Why you ask? Well Erick and the boys were going away for the weekend without me. This was the first time EVER I have been away from the boys.
Friday- The morning started out with my mom coming over to watch the boys so Erick and I could go see the belly baby. We had a great NT exam. I will get the results this Friday.
Then we went shopping so I would have something to eat while they were gone. When we came home Erick went and got my current lunch of choice. TOGOs Mmmmm
After lunch Erick and I packed the car and away they went. I spent the rest of Friday cleaning up toys, moving furniture and watching movies. I had a very short visit from some friends that brought me cake and cookies. mmmm. I "slept" on the couch because I didnt want to deal with the laundry on the bed LOL.
Saturday- I had a horrible nights sleep. The morning didnt get much better. When I woke up my kitchen had been over run by ants. They decided to skip the plate of cake on the counter and go for the leftover cake still in the container. After taking care of that and getting breakfast I headed to the store to get a rug doctor.
It took 2 passes to get the carpet clean and in order to do that the floor had to dry completely before I could do it again. I did the living room and dining room in shifts. I had to take a lot of breaks for the floor to dry and because if I started to work to hard or long I didnt feel good. I finally returned the cleaner at 10 pm after almost 12 hours of shampooing and dry time. I went to bed Saturday night with the floor still damp, fans on and the heat up.
Sunday- I slept in til almost 9. I guess I was really tired. I picked my mom up and we drove to have breakfast in another town. After that shopping to get organizers for the boys toys. Then back home to finish setting up before my men came home.
With the help of I mom I was also able to get the kitchen and front bathroom cleaned. And now I have a living area as well as a toy area. I love it! The boys came home at around 4 and they love the toy area too.
Monday- So far today has been full of kisses, snuggles, hugs, playing and relaxing. A perfect way to end a busy weekend.

Yesterday's long story
Yesterday's long story actually begins on Thursday. Well if you want to get technical it actually begins in November. Let me start by saying we live in a good part of town, in a duplex owned/operated by a management that oversees 200+ unites in my area.
In November before we went to Disneyland I put in a repair request (we rent). There is a crack in my dining room from one wall all the way across to the other wall. When we came back they had painted over the crack but it was not filled or anything. Call to tell them that will not work. They say they will come back with a contractor and fix it. Last week I call because I havent heard from them they tell me oops and set an appointment for Thursday at 10am.
For Christmas we found a crack in the floor of my shower. Put a request in writing just after the new year. A week later they sent the maintenance man to look. The next day he sends the fiberglass repair man. He looks at the shower laughs and says I need a new shower. The next day the shower installer comes. He says it will take one full day to get a new shower in. When I called last week I asked about this too. The shower guy was set to come Thursday between 8 and 930 am.
At 11 am Thursday I called management and asked once again what is going on. I get told the painters are backed up and will be here at 1om but the tub people had a family emergency and cant come til next Thursday. I also get told that my shower is not an emergency because I have a second shower. Um excuse me I pay a higher rent for 2. So I sit and sit and miss the beautiful sunny day. At 3pm the painters just show up. They didnt know they were going to have to repair. They thought they were just going to paint. They also thought our unit was empty so they were shocked when I answered the door. Because of this and it being so late they scrape and prep Thursday and fix and paint Friday. They say they will be here at 9am to which I confirm 3 times before they leave. What BS.
The problem comes in that 830 am Friday (yesterday) is the boys 2 year check up. So i call the management company and ask them to call me back regarding the painters I get no call back. So I call my mom and she comes to let the painters in. Erick and I take the boys to the pedi.
When we get to the pedi office we are told that we are a little early. When we get to the waiting room we are told that our pedi just called and she is running a little behind because she got stuck at the hospital. We wait. It is now 30 min past our appointment time and they call us back. We get heights and weights
Both boys are 34 in tall
Owen is 29.2lbs
Ethan is 32.2lbs
We get put in the exam room and they tell us that the pedi is on her way. Our appointment was the first of the day 830 am the pedi walks in at 945. The boys were well past done. She talks to us and we get a lecture about the TV being on. Then we get a lecture about Ethan. Even though his weight is fine on the charts and his height is fine on the charts his BMI is above the 95% so he is overweight. We were lectured about his activity level. Then to add to the boys good mood (hahaha) we asked that they get their flu shots and head home.
When we get home we get told that the painters didnt show up til 10. I can hear how bad my moms breathing is so I have Erick take the boys outback. BUT the backyard is wet and muddy. I once again call the management office. I tell them we can not sit in this. The painter are wearing masks. I tell them we need to leave and they need to send someone to my house to watch it. They tell me to tell the painters to stop and come back at a different date. I get mad and ask when. I am a SAHM and it took 3 months to get them here this time. They hang up and send the maintenance man to my house. This man is great. He tells me the company is bonded and that he is working down the street he will come by and check the house every 30-45 min and if the guy is gone he will lock the house. So we load the boys up and head to the mall to let the boys play in the play area.
Erick calls his dad and tells him where we are because to add to the fun of the day he was coming to see the boys. We have lunch at the mall and let the boys play more. This is when we realize that we ran out of the house with 4 diapers and about 6 wipes. This is fine if it was a normal short trip but both boys decided to poop while at the mall and remember how I said the boys were playing in the backyard in the wet and mud? well when we got to the mall we used 2 wipes to clean hands and faces. So now it is 3pm we have been gone sense 8am. The boys are tired and we are out of diapers and wipes. We load the boys in the car and decide that we will see if the painter is done. We drive to the house and he isnt. We grab the stroller and hope the boys will nap in it and head to the other mall.
The boys wont nap in it. I am dying of thirst so Erick buys me an ice water venti from starbucks. I take 1 drink and Ethan knocks it off the stroller and spills the whole thing. Then the boys are screaming because mommy isnt pushing them because I have to clean up the water. We ask for rags and starbucks gives us 2 paper towels. I have to track down another staff to get more help. Finally get it all cleaned up and cant find Erick and the boys. Finally find them and we walk the mall another 1.5 hrs. We decide we need to see if the painter is done because the boys have to nap. We get home and he is loading up (thank god). Put the boys down. Ethan is out. Owen not so much. He plays and when I go in to wake them (yes I woke a sleeping baby) Owen was still up and Ethan was pissed. We head to dinner. Dinner was nice (Thanks Luis) the boys ate well and were calm for the most part. We had a nice visit with Erick's dad. BUT let me tell you this mommy was ready for bed.
So the boys are growing. Today has been a lot calmer. The painter still have to come back to actually paint. The boys went to bed early last night and slept in this morning (30 min). Owen woke in the middle of the night and thought he could play but when directed back to bed he went willingly. Yeah it was a long day and we are now open to taking donations for our down payment because we want the hell out of this place. If you made it here you are wonderful.

What big boys I have
Where have my babies gone? I no longer have babies but these big boys with minds of their own. The know the boundaries and like to test them. The have favorites and are very much individuals. It still amazes me how many people ask us if they have their own personalities.
I am sitting here blogging as the boys eat their snack. Owen eats all the nella waffers, then raisins, then he goes for Ethan's ignoring the goldfish. Ethan loves everything equally. Owen is a thinker. He can do any puzzle the first time he sees it and he loves to color. He will also help me clean and loves to help cook. Ethan is my talker/singer. He needs only hear something once and he owns it. He isnt good at puzzles so he destroys them. He hates to get dirty and is much cleaner. Owen doesnt care. Ethan is my sleeper. He can sleep anywhere if he is tired. Owen needs his bed, blanket and pacie.
I love my big boys. What an adventure.
ps tomorrow is their 2 year check.

most embarrassing moment
I promised you and I will follow through. I told you that if I got 20 followers I would tell you my most embarrassing moment. Well I know you pulled your friends (Laura) to make this happen. So hear it goes but please dont forget to leave some love.
Could my most embarrassing moment have happened at a young age? In the first grade I was in a class that had these blocks around the rug area. One day I was leaning over the blocks during free-time. I was in a dress. Two of my male classmates took it upon themselves to come up behind me and pull my dress over my head. I was mortified. But I dont think that was the most embarrassing.
A few years later, seventh grade, I was sitting in math class. I sat in the VERY front row. I asked to be excused to go to the bathroom. When I got there I found that I had started my period for the very first time and had made a complete mess of my shorts. It was BAD. I knew I couldnt go back to class and I knew my classmates had to have noticed when I left so I headed to the office. The office couldnt just let me go home so I had to sit there. They tried everyone on my emergency contact list. They couldnt reach anyone. On the second pass through my contact list they finally got someone to answer the phone. My moms friend, he was very understanding but at work and instructed the school to let me walk home to change and he would take lunch and bring me back. I walked home the 12 blocks in blood soaked shorts. Wow that was bad but not the worst.
I am no graceful swan. Anyone that knows me in real life knows that. I fall, trip and stumble more than anyone I know. Could my most embarrassing moment have to do with that? In high school I fell more than once. The first time I was looking at a boy I thought was cute and tripped backwards over a tree root landing on my butt in a mud puddle. That was bad. Then a few years later I was walking to school on the last day of school and tripped right in front of the school. I landed in the street and ended up with a broken hand. In college I fell down the second half of a flight of stairs in front of a crowd of frat boys. I only stopped falling when I hit a wall. One time I tripped in the dining hall and ended up throwing my tray full of food some number of feet onto another person. Yeah those are bad but not the worst.
I have been walked in on in the shower, on the toilet and "in bed". I have walked out of bathrooms with skirts tucked in my panties. I have had my shirt catch on a desk and come unbuttoned. I have had a "friend" take a poll at a party as to get the popular opinion on me having sex. I vomited on everything in a 2 door bathroom during a party when no one would get out of my way (then I continued out to the street to continue my display in the gutter). I had the police show up at my work because I forgot the alarm code and set it off. Still not the worst.
During college I had a job I loved with people I am still friends with. Part of my job was what I considered a perk. I got to drive an electric golf cart. My second year at the same job they got a brand new state of the art cart. The thing was a pain to turn but it was nice. One spring day I was driving a student with a broken leg to class and went to make a turn. When I turned the wheel the steering wheel came off in my hands. When I looked up shocked the student I was driving laughed. He got out and made some comment about having to walk from there. When I looked I noticed at that exact moment an ambassador was giving a tour. They had stepped off onto the grass so I could pass and the WHOLE crowd saw what had happened. If that wasnt the worst part that came when I had to walk back to the office and tell my boss what happened to the brand new cart by handing her the steering wheel and telling her that we needed to cancel all rides for the day. I wanted to die. Then she made me walk her to where I had to leave the cart and explain again exactly what happened. It just so happened that this coincided with classes getting out so I once again had a crowd. Yep I think that takes the cake.
remember if I get:

Ketchup
Pumpkin patch. We took the boys to look at the pumpkins at this huge farm. They have a train and a tram. A petting zoo, tires to climb, a corn maze and much more. We went because Ethan's EI vendor was footing the bill. They gave all the kids free pumpkins and we got to ride the train (the boys love trains) and the tram. It was still hot here so we didnt visit the petting zoo for to long because we were melting.
Speaking of melting after thanksgiving they have a snow hill there to go tubing on. Well they were testing it out. The boys and Chloe got to throw a snowball.
Halloween was so much fun. The boys understood what to do and were excited. They were the lion and the scarecrow. Their cousin came with us and was Dorthy. So cute to see them walk up to the house, ring the bell, say trick or treat then thank you, welcome. Many people thought they were so cute they gave them more candy.
Shortly after Halloween we went to Disneyland for 3 days. We had an amazing time. The boys loved it. They jumped out of the strollers to run to hug Goofy. Mickey they wernt to impressed with but Goofy they loved. I cant tell you how many times we rode the train. We timed our trip with the start of Disneylands Christmas decorations. OMG it is wonderful. They go all out.
While in Disneyland the boys got to sleep in a big boy bed. They also got to meet Santa, see "snow fall" and meet Mater and MacQueen.
After Disneyland we had Thanksgiving then the boys birthday party. They had a cars theme and We had a great time with friends and family.
My birthday was next. Erick sent me to a salon to get my hair and toes done. My mom took me to breakfast and the boys took me to lunch. It was a great day.
Then came getting ready for Christmas and all the parties that came along with that. I hosted 2 Christmas parties after the boys birthday party one of which was the next day. As soon as all the guests were gone the birthday stuff came down and Christmas went up. First off was the tree for the annual ornament exchange with my family. I couldnt resist putting the boys in their holiday outfits. Santa even showed up at the party to pass out gifts to all the kids.
So now it is almost Christmas and you know just about everything that you missed while I was away. I promise to be better about blogging.
