SAHM

Being at home all day has its advantages. I will never be able to replace the time I am getting to spend with the boys. But I have the time now to think about stupid stuff. Because I am at home I have the chance to worry about home. I find I am dreaming about a new vacuum or rug for under my table. Yeah I dont think that is normal. I think of taking up a part time job to pay for a gym membership Or having the cash for some special shoes. I dream of reasons to have people over. We are hosting an Easter BBQ for my out of state family that will be in town this year. I can sing the theme songs to "The Dinosaur Train" as well as "Sesame street" and many of the songs either show does during the show. We dont have cable so I find that even when the boys are napping I am watching PBS. AHhh it is fun to be a SAHM. Yes I do realize this post had no point but it was on my mind. LOL.

The Easter Bunny

Today we took the boys to see the Easter Bunny. It is something I will never forget. See last year they didnt care who held them as long as someone did. This year hahahaha.

At 10 am we left the house to go to the mall. This was mistake #1. The boys normally nap at 1030. Silly me thought we would get to the mall take the picture and head home. When we got there we find out the bunny doesnt get there til 11. Choice wait an hour and be 30 min late to nap but be the first on the bunny or head home? The mall has a play structure that the boys love so we played. When it got crowded we went to get a snack. In getting a snack we saw Erick's aunt who showed off the boys to her friends :) and we ate and waited. When it got time for the bunny we went to check out the set. Then we heard him... the bunny. Owen turned and the bunny waved. Ethan HID. Owen followed EB into the set, walked right up to him and asked to be picked up. Ethan screamed. We waited and tried. Didnt work. The lady was really nice that was taking the picture and told us just to try again later that there was no charge as long as we didnt print anything. Se we went to lunch then naps.

After naps we gave the boys a snack. I loaded my pockets with candy and we headed back to the mall. Owen in seeing EB ran up and again asked to be held. Ethan sat on the floor and screamed. So I picked him up and held him. I didnt move any closer to EB and I gave Ethan candy. The crying stopped. I waited a second and took a step closer. Once again screams. candy... wait...step. Eventually this process worked to where I was sitting next to EB holding Ethan. We waited and eventually Ethan let EB touch him. Not hold him but touch him. So we sat Ethan next to EB and took some pictures. The photog was great and took 3 let us look and we must have deleted 5 or 6 sets before getting a good one. Eventually Ethan let EB hold him but then Owen was done. The only way I got smiles at all was to let them hold a piece of candy and act like I was sneezing. Hey it worked. We got a good shot. Smiles and everything.

random video

just a random video nothing more nothing less

TV

Ok I know that a lot of moms dont let their kids watch ANY TV. I am not one of those moms. I do limit it and at most they "watch" 45 min a day. We dont have cable so we are limited in options. While they have their morning snack we watch Dinosaur Train then Sesame Street (Really just the intro and maybe one skit) about the time the snacks run out they are off and running again for a few min before they go down for a nap. The other day they sat so cute (and have every day after). Erick and I really need to get the boys their own chairs.

Body

Owen and Ethan are becoming more aware of their body. Here is a few pics and videos to show you.

Ok Ok so the only reason the Pictures have to do with body is they are of the little pinchable bodies on St. Pattys day.

Fish tank

Sometimes I feel like we live in a fish tank. Here we are just trying to live our lives and we have these people watching us. I dont know these people but there they are watching. Oh and the comments these people make as if we cant hear. So sometime I retreat to the internet. BUT even there people are watching. On a chat board I belong to it is not uncommon for someone to post something and get a reply "sorry I know I dont belong here but I lurk all the time and just had to tell you your twins/triplets are so cute". We call these people lurkers. It get frightening at times too. A few of these internet friends have had people take pictures of their kids and make up stories calling their kids their own. So many people have switched to private boards. I used to belong to one but burned that bridge in a fit that now I look back on with regret. So I looked for a new home. A new place where I could safely talk...And post... and get advice. I even tried to go back to the board that I left (I cant say I was expecting to be welcomed back but it did hurt to get the deny message in my inbox). So with no place to be what is a woman to do to escape the fish tank... I created a new board. Now I have the board that I am the only member of lol. I cant post the address because then it wouldnt be private and I dont know how to get members. It is sad really.
